Job Advert: Learning Mentor (Based on LSA role profile)

Salary: B2 grade Full time equivalent = £22,737.00 Actual salary = £9,704.40

Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday

Hours: 8.30am - 3pm

Start date: September/October 2024

Initially this is a fixed term contract until 31/08/25

Closing date: Wednesday 4th September

Interviews: Friday 6th September

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Mentor to join our team at South Baddesley CE Primary School and Nursery. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and wellbeing of our pupils.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Show a fascination in child development and pupil learning.
• Support individuals and groups in their learning and play.
• Show compassion for pupils' needs and wellbeing.
• Be willing to learn - we are looking for an individual with the aptitude to learn and become an expert in learning over time and with support.
• Both facilitate and mentor pupils in their learning and play.
• Follow plans set by class teachers and SENCos.
• Provide oral and sometimes written feedback to teaching staff.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.
