We are looking to appoint a friendly, calm, caring and enthusiastic person to join our dedicated team. The position will primarily involve supporting pupils with a range of SEMH and ASC needs, the frustration of which can lead to challenging behaviour. The pupils are based in classes across the school.
We are looking for someone who is:
· Ideally experienced in learning support
· Interested in working with pupils with SEMH needs and pupils with ASC needs
· Highly inclusive and able to work within the ethos of ‘everyday is a fresh start’ and to not bear a grudge
· Flexible and adaptable
· Able to use their initiative
· Capable of dealing with challenging situations
· Able to work effectively with staff across the schools
· Able to build a good rapport with children across the Primary phase from Pre school – Year 6
To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed
learning activities under an agreed system of supervision providing support in addressing
the needs of children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. This may
involve assisting the teacher in planning, preparing and delivering learning activities within the classroom, individuals or groups and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils achievement, progress and development. Under the direction and
